Joke of a company, horrible customer service I also will tell everyone i know do not trust optimum. Well im foing to pay them there money but they will never get me as a customer again.

Now they want me to pay them 80 dollars for service i wasnt using. So i did and a month later when i was dropping off my equipment they told me my service was never discontinued. They made me pay my bill in full to do so.

I dealt with this for another 6 months and finally it was so bad I couldn’t watch a movie without it buffering. I then called there support line trying to get help but now they didnt want to work on my new router. Well i spent 200 dollars on it and it changed nothing. He then went online and helped me pick out what was best for my needs. When i brought this up at one of there retIl stores, the guy told me i should get a difference router because they had trouble with theres. I was paying for 500k and my download speed was 38. This company starts by promising you everything but delivering subpar service. Simple call and a trip to UPS and will gladly give them whatever they want past that to get them out of my life. I have a rule and that is that if I have to deal with something more than 2x for the same issue then I am the only one to blame after that. Greed, incompetence and negligence is to blame here and rest assured the owners are trying to pull every nickel out of this company before the ship goes down. The cost to benefit ratio of this service is just too high. Conversing w/ cust service is like an interaction with a meth head. No one is willing or is able to pay a $60 service fee to fix this faulty equipment. Every time there's a gust of wind or storm, no internet for days.

No money for a shovel or pick ax I guess. inside a metal conduit, never been fixed. The main line is sticking out of the ground like 8ft. complex has to use Optimum or their phone hotspot as a backup. Optimum will soon go the way of Bud Light. When you see a large scale advertising campaign & name change it usually means the last death rattle or bankruptcy.
